Strange noise
I have an 01 ls and am running a turbonetics turbo kit. Yesterday my car was making a strange noise whenever I was stoped or going very slow. It sounded like something grinding or draging on the ground. it obviously was not this since the noise continued after i came to a stop. Also it sounded like it was comming from engine bay, but the car was driving fine, no performance loss at all. Today, no noise. Anyone had this happen or have any ideas what it was? Thanks for the help.
I would have but i was in traffic for about an hour, then on the highway for about another two. When i got home it wasn't making the noise any more. Then later that night it did it again, also when I couldn't stop and check it out. Now today, nothing. I think it was just possesed for a little while
, but I need more of an explanation than that.

do you have a comber kit? Cause my car makes a skueaky sound when I start to slow down... All I do is just lube it up every month or so and it fine. Try that out.
No I do not have a camber kit, I don't know how that would make noise when you are stopped any way. It hasn't made the noise for a few days now so I have no clue wahat it was. It sounded really bad though. Hopefully it won't make it again!
Maybe there's debris caught behind the flywheel cover, or maybe you've got a tranny issue cropping up.
Is it rpm dependent? For example, if you're stopped and it's making a sound, and you increase the rpm's, does the sound get louder or increase in pitch?

well it hasn't made the sound since but it would stop once i was moving. it only made the sound when i was slowing down and was under about 15mph or so and when i was at a stop. it pretty much sounded like my muffler was draging on the ground. which it wasn't, i would have been able to figure that one out. but it was that kind of grinding sound.
If and when the weather clears up a little, feel free to bring it by if you don't have jack & tools or want help tracking down the problem. I try to do what I can for people in need in my area.
