i have a leak somewhere in the evap system....atleast thats what the code tells me. could it be anything else..and does anyone know where the parts on the evap system are on a 99 gsr??

 

The EVAP system is the gas tank, the charcoal EVAP canister, a few valves & the tubing connecting it all together. (My GSR is OBD-1 so it's not the same as yours.) The simplest reason for that code is a loose gas cap, but there's a whole pile of other things that can leak.

It's all supposed to be airtight. Smell gasoline anywhere? There's several little tubes alongside the gas filler pipe. The Helm service manual has a real good section of stuff to check.
