Over boring throttle body's. What do you guys think?
I'm planning on overboring my Throttle body. I wanna go 64 mm for the skunk2 manifold I plan to buy. Here is the question.
Is it a good idea to go like.... 66 mm, and then taper it down to 64 from the butterfly on back? That'll create a velocity stack, and air will come in faster to the intake manifold.
What do you guys think? Should I do a setup like that, or just go 64 all the way through. Turbo is planned for the motor (eventually) I don't think having a velocity stack is a good idea on a turbo'd car.
Well let me know what you guys think.

i'm curious of the driveability(idle qualities) and benefits(if any) to the Holley 70mm and some of the other billet t-bodies. Any one running one? How did it work? Power gains?
I can see your reasoning in the velocity stack design. I think this is probably something that not many have tried. Personally, I would go with the velocity stack design you speak of for now. Then, when you finally go FI, get the Holley 70mm, and port your intake mani to match.
EDIT - Well now that I think about it, doesn't spoon make a tapered TB for some motors?
