Just wanted to know if getting 28mpg on a 94 LS is good?? hiway driving mostly

 

yea thats good, thats wut i get with my ls

 

yup, that's fine.
I get 29 in the city on my LS and around 35-38 on highway. But i've got some bolt ons, and it's tuned.

 

How fast is your definition in HWY driving?

From my personal exp in an auto LS, 32 mpg is typical if you go 75, 29 is typical if you go 85-90, 27 is typical if you go 100.

 

you all are lucky. city driving, i get around 23, and highway, SOMETIMES I can break 30. My last tank yielded me 24 mpg, mostly all highway crusin at 80

 

yeah i do mostly highway driving and i get about 30mpg if i'm going 70-80 mph. around town i get 27 on average

 

yeah i do mostly highway driving anad i just did a full tank test. 34 on mostly all highway around 65-70mph average

 

I dont know specific MPG, but I know on a full tank I get 400 miles every time. Not too bad for a 10 year old car. Engine mods are AEM CAI & Denso Iridium Plugs

 

With almost 190k now, I still get 28-30mpg with just a Blitz filter.

 

I always get 20mpg. Highest I've ever gotten was 22mpg I believe. But then again that could be because I have a gsr tranny...

20 mpg? thats really low, even w/ agsr tranny. sounds like you need a tun
e up or something.

well thats also all city driving, i very rarely have long highway trips. But yea I've been meaning to check up on some stuff to make sure its running in top shape.

 

I usually only get around 24mpg... but I have to go through 2 side by side cities to get to work, so I get lots of stop and go. I replaced the plugs, and wires.

 

i got a stock ls with intake just changed the clutch and still get around 200 on a full tank .....sucks man

 

if your o2 sensor hasnt been changed in a while, it cna help alot.

 

24mpg. Good mix between city and hwy. driving.

im getting about 21-23 MPG driving mix of city/highway. What would u guys suggest on what what type of tune up should i chk for? BTW im using a b16 tranny.

I used to get at least 320 on the tank. For the last couple of months I barely get 200. Any ideas on the sudden decrease in mileage?

could need new spark plugs, plug wires, fuel filter....

i get just about 28 mpg with my ls, maybe up around 30 on the highway but i have a gsr tranny

 

I hear that the PCV can have an effect on gas consumption. I get 25 mpg with city drive. Turboed.

 

The only thing I've seen change gas mileage in my LS was PCV valve, shift point (RPM), whether or not I speed, and o2 sensor.

 

city driving in my car is horrible. i have to fill up a full tank of gas after about 180 miles. on highway driving, it's a different story. i get about 360 miles to a full tank
