d16y8 into 91 civic dx
Me and my buddy just bought a 98 d16y7 yesterday, tranny and all, only thing its missing is injectors, fuel rail, and harness...
ok to the question, i know the motor will fit, and i know theres ways to run it, but my buddy wants to run it obd2... hes got the ecu, just wondering how the hell we're gonna go about running it obd2.

So what's the question?
Motor will fit, the tranny won't.
You need the harness or atleast various plugs from it that you will need to splice into your harness.
You also need the ECU plugs and wiring diagrams to convert the car harness to OBD2. I guess you could buy an OBD2 to OBD0 jumper from someplace if you don't want to deal with the wiring that much.
You also need to know a few tricks like this one -

becasue OBD-2 does have different stuff than OBD0 is equiped with.
