Default KYB strutc/shocks

ok, simple. im on a budget. i just need something that will last me about a year, and the cheapest thing i could find was the KYB gr-2. my civic is lowered almost 2 inches, so i need something besides stock struts (the guy before me thought he would be cool and put just coilovers on with nothing aftermarket otherwise). so do you think the gr-2's would be worth the money? all opinions welcome!

i have kyb agx's and i really like them. I say you save a little bit more and get these. I think you'll like the adjustability. I dont have any experience with the gr-2's tho

If you are at 2" you could possibly could get a set of gr-2 to last awhile...

I had GR-2's on about 3" drop and I blew all four struts in 6 months... I would recommend the AGX

now if i get the agx's, when you say 'adjustable' does that mean adjust by height, stiffness, etc..? and do i have to adjust them, or can i put them on right out of the box? (i know no suspension lol)

With agx's you can adjust the dampening of each shock. The front's (depending on your car) are usually 4-way adjustable, and rears are usually 8-way adjustable. I think but im not sure that they come set at 2 front 4 rear. If you want you can just leave them like that and throw em on your car. Hope that helps.

They are not 4-way and 8-way adjustable.

They are 1-way (single) adjustable shocks. They adjust rebound (well, they're intented to only adjust rebound.... anyways) with the turn of the ****. Thats it. Single adjustment. There just happens to be 4 'stops' or positions of adjustment on the front and 8 in the rear.

oh ok thanks .Ok to the original poster, like i said i think they come set at 2 front/ 4 rear, the fronts just turn with a lil screw driver that is provided, and the rears have a little **** in the back. I suggest you play around with the settings and see which you like best. Not much difference tho

If they were 2-way adjustable they would adjust rebound and compression... or 3-way adjustable, low/high speed rebound and compression.... or 4-way adjustable, low/high speed rebound, compression, gas pressure (for a remote reservior). And so forth.

I run the AGX's and am completely happy with them. In drag racing to adjustment is very useful, both in the front and the rear.

I've got AGX's on the rear. They kick ***. Spend the excess

This guy's sellin' 'em for about th best I've seen. (next to nopi.com, but I did a warehouse-pick-up with them)

I've done mountain runs and e-brake pulls. I'm satisfied with the roll (or lack of) and it goes will with my Skunk2's

I have GR2's on my 2 inch lowered car, they have been nice and firm for a year now and show no signs of wear.
