Default Spoon shift **** question

Okay so I've been eyeing the Spoon shift ***** recently.

Wat is "Duracon" (black)? Is it some sort of plastic? The only thing I hear from people is that it doesn't get hot in the summer and cold in the winter...which leads me to believe it's plastic or some sort of resin.

Can anyone explain what Duracon is? Thanks in advance.

A fitment related question: is this **** threaded? Or does it need a stupid set-screw? Finally, how does this **** look around the shift boot? Does it sit flush, or is the shift rod visible?

It is plastic.

It is threaded and there is a set screw.

B2 is correct. Also with my stock GSR shifter, a little of the rod was visible, but with my B&M short shifter, it isn't.
