Default Moving actual clutch engaugment?

I have a 91 CRX si with a JDM B16 S1 tranny with an Exedy stage one clutch. My question is this, my clutch engauges about an inch or an inch and a half off the floor....is there any way to get the clutch to engauge a lil higher so I will have more time to shift?

I have the release bearing as close to the pressure plate as I can get it with out it riding. I feel a lil play in the lever and I can hear it hittin the pressure plate if I move the lever by hand.

Isnt the closer the release bearing is to the pressure plate the higher the engaugment?

Any of this make sense? Any ideas?

Thanks

Matt

Try and get 1/8 of an inch of play in the lever if possible.

So basically get the throw out bearing as close to the pressure plate as I can? Thats the only way to bring the actual engaugment as far out?

Hopefully this is relevant, as it pertains to a ZC w/Si tranny.......

I was able to adjust the point at which the clutch engages by turning a **** on the clutch cable. The **** was very close to the transmission, easily accessible by opening the hood. Easy like Sunday morning.

Since you're trying to raise the engagement point, turn it whichever way is easiest (can't remember). I was trying to do the opposite of you--lower the point--and I remember it took some elbow grease to tighten it up.

why dont you just adjust the nuts that hold the clutch cable near the tranny
