Well my altenator is making a weird *** noise... like a bearing is messed up or something... i wondering if its safe to spray it with some wd-40 or will it hurt the altenator?? i want to see if that will fix it before buying a new one. this one works fine and everything, just makes noise.. and its pretty loud.

 

Mine started doing that, lasted about two weeks before it died.

would i be better off getting a new one or replacing bearings??

mine has been doing this since i got the car, i just recently figured out what it was... and its been like 6,000mi strong...
