Default Spoon Cat Jack ( what's inside?)

is the spoon cat jack a 2.5 testpipe with a wider diameter metal jacket? Or is it hollow inside with a flared out body? I hope I'm wording things right here.

Any reason why they make it wider?

the chamber is supposed to cancel out sound waves or some b.s. like that...it might actually work though...when i switched from my car sound cat to the spoon cat jack there was no real raise in noise level..but i did gain a few ponies..

i like it becuase it tapers to 2.25 for my jaydeehem exhaust

I think it will somehow make it quieter due to some sound wave or some **** like that!! Can some engineer that know something about how sound wave work come in a explain??

The best I came up with is a slight increase in back pressure sinze the gas might accumulate more inside the chamber?

Seems like a case of sound waves hitting each other and cancelling each other out.

im an engineer, and im telling you it wont work

as far as sound cancellation is concerned, there is no way to "deaden" the sound pulses.

Sound wave?? The Spoon Cat Jack is the same shape as the Japanese Catalytic converter. You can have a Spoon Cat Jack by hollowing out the factory JDM cat. At least, that is what I have seen when I compared both of them. Only difference was that the factory cat can accept heat shields.
