Just wondering how bad it is to drive for like 2-3 minutes and that's it. What does it affect? I heard it was bad for the car. Any reasons?

Somedays I only drive to and from one place and its only like a 2 minute drive tops...

 

at least let it idle for 30 seconds and dont punch it out of the parking spot, lol.

but thats about it...if you only drive for 2 minutes, why not like walk or something? unless its 20 degrees?

 

Just make sure to take it out for a 20-30 minute highway cruise on the weekend.

 

Cold startup puts some moisture & gasoline into the crankcase. After it warms up that stuff evaporates, goes thru the PCV system & gets burned. Combustion gases make acids in your exhaust system, that stuff takes a while to heat up & dry out.

 

i make short drives every morning to school....its really KILLS your gas milege....

i never drive highway but i do warm it up in the morning...i average like 20mpg..but on the hghway i do pretty damn well.

 

Could end up with a dead battery
