2 days ago i was driving in my 91 accord with my stereo on when the song ended i noticed i grinding whine. fron the front. im guessing is a wheel bearing and i think its coming from the front left.
i went to pepboys and they want like $90 bucks for it. does anybody know were i can get one used or does anybody have one?

What you hear could be many things , But just dont put a used wheel bearing on your car! it would be like taking it off and putting it right back on.(you may get one that makes more noise) Check around more for better prices.

 

what can happen with the bad wheel bearing? can my wheel pop out?
cause i cant change it right now and its my only car.

 

a new wheel bearing from honda is only about 50 bucks, so it seems pepboys is a ripoff. a grinding noise usually doesnt mean a wheelbearing. I would look at the brake pads first, perhpas one of the calipers is dragging.

try taking off the front wheels and see if anythig looks wrong and check how the pads look

 

There is a metal tab that will scrape the rotor when the break pad is worn to low you need to check that before the rivits from your pads get to the rotors.

 

wheel bearing usualy sounds more like a helicopter
