To make sure your starter isn't bad, you can turn the key to the on position, then stick a screw driver to connect the 2 wires coming out the the starter, get ready for some sparks to fly, if the engine turns over, your starter works.
I had this problem also, there is a thing behind the clutch, its a connection between two wires, that when the clutch is depressed, the 2 wires are connected allowing your car to start, if the clutch is not depressed, the car will not start. I just crimped these two wires together. I'm not sure if that is called the main relay or what not. Check that too if its not.

just trust me.go to an auto parts store and order a main relay"you can always return it if its bad.you sed its clicking.im assuming you ment from under the dash.all you do is unplug it and plug it back in.if the clicking is coming from the bay then it prolly is your starter.try and see if starting your car at night will help.some times when its cool out the mai relay will kick over.i remeber when i bought a used one and installed it that night.started up just fine.got up drove to work the next day and went to leave on my lunch and no dice.luckily i still had my old one in and switched it back and was good to go.

i've never tried this but try it, if it works, then i'd think its main relay, dont buy a new one just solder the connections to it better, they crack over time
