ok, i reset my maintenence required light earlier this afternoon by holding the little button on the panel under the steering wheel. i left it for a couple hours, and a little bit ago i was going to leave the house. i opened the door and heard the dinging noise that goes off when you leave your lights on, so i looked and all the lights in the dash and on the center console were blinking like the alarm (stock, never heard it before) was going off, as well as my turn signals flashing, although there was no horn going off or anything. i tried to start my car (96 ls) and nothing happened at all. i'm reluctant to try jumping it because that doesn't seem like the problem...WHAT THE HELL DID I DO?!!!! if anyone knows anything about this, please post....i'm missing the game at hooters lol

 

oh yeah, i tried resetting it again with the same button.....the maintenence light stayed on for the 2 seconds and then went off, but nothing new happened.... @@$#@!%!$#%@%! should i try jumping it, someone please tell me what is going on

 

do you have a stock acura alarm? if so try disarming it by unplugging the computer thats under your drivers side seat then see if your car turns on.

 

well it turns out i have an aftermarket alarm i didn't even know about with a kill switch....had to press a switch by the hood lever to start the car...phew...that scared the **** out of me lol i guess resetting the system rebooted it because now its back to normal....what a day
