sick of my apex N1 exhaust
what do you think of FOCUZ or Top Speed Pro-1 rear sections or other generic brands? i had a focuz on my civic and it did its purpose. I don't really want to spend 900 on spoon or mugen just for the name...
well, it looked decent and muffled the exhaust noise... i figure performance gains aren't that noticable, so thas why i want a generic one. Probably going to do a mugenesque twin loop muffler so that it is quiet. what do u think?
Id go with the Spoon N1, $500.. but loud as fock! You could always get the S2K silencer for it though.

IF your not really concerned with performance you can just get a replica mugen. Why don't you get a silencer for your N1?
What I mean is when switching to a cheap muffler, your not going to be gaining or losing much HP. Depends on if you really want to sqeeze everylittle bit of power out of your car. Performance gains from chaning the N1 to something like a mugen won't be very evident.
damn... your harsh... "cheap" muffler... hahaha... yes i do prefer the JDM stuff too, but if i save a little here, i can spend somewhere else... especially on an exhaust, to me, they are about the same... as a matter of fact, i ran (drag) just as well with a stock muffler than i ran w/ the n1...
if you want to save yourself a buck or two, why not buy yourself a high flow cat and remove the bottlenecks of the stock exhaust?
well, see, i'm debating wether or not to get a generic mugen exhaust for its quietness and performance becasue i am sick of the n1. 90% i am not on the track or racing, so why not? cheap and looks good! quality and fitment are issues of course...
I don't know how well or poorly the generic brands perform so I won't go about bashing their products. It's your car and you can do what you want from it. Frankly, most of us here on the boards wouldn't even think about purchasing a generic brand muffler if our lives depended on it. The only quiet and relatively cheap exhaust I can think of is the stock setup that I mentioned before. But, I think the magnaflow ones a quiet as well? I'm not sure. Goodluck with your search for cheap and quiet exhaust.

this is kind of funny bc I have a mugenesque twin loop muffler and I want an n1 LOL oh well...but I'm at the drag strip a lot so that's y
mine looks EXACATLY like the mugen...ask wes......the only difference is mine hangs about an inch lower than the mugen does...no biggy...had it on there for about 2-3 months
