So I need to replace my 89' rex bumper lenses...but as it turns out it is IMPOSSIBLE to find amber replacements. So, I am going to buy clears ones and paint them amber or YELLOW! Anyway, just wondering if anyone has 'em, cause I'd like to see some pics before I waste a couple hours painting them only to decide they're ugly.

In bright sunlight they look a little more yellow.

That yellow is pretty dark...I was hoping to do a lot "brighter" yellow. Keep postin' 'em!

amber/orange Stained Glass spray paint from Michaels.

 

Amber lenses just look like 88-89 signals to me...

but, normally, I have the '90-'91 bumper, so I have the clear lens with a yellow bulb.

and those are for the 88-89's, so they're amber. Only the 90-91's came with the clear bumper lenses stock.

That makes them come out orange. If you want yellow use the metalcast anodized yellow paint. Prep surface then spray, you might need a heat gun or a hair dryer to dry it up quickly and see the results. Test on a old turn signal or something.

wished i had a better pic but dig. cam is messed up. But you can see how yellow my fogs came out.

 

Yeah, I was just stating thats what was used on my bumper lenses and in the sun they look a little yellow.

What number in here is the lense? It looks like a "28", but an item number for 28 is not listed. Also, every single color is listed as "no color" I'm assuming this means you get clear!?

 

#2 (LENS, L) and #8 (LENS, R) are the ones we're looking at. And they don't come in clear unless you have a 90-91, in which case, they're a different size anyway.

Just order them already! ;-)

Yeah yeah yeah....I should just order them. The ONLY remaining problem is that I have replacement 90-91 corners in amber....and I'm worried the color might be off alot. Yeah...I'm ****! BUT, it is like 12 bucks. What the hell.

On another night, I've been looking around the sight...you don't happen to know where the hatch cover could be found do ya? Maybe I am just overlooking something.

 

hey hahagasdcrx, where did you get those foglights, been looking for some, and how much. well i got some yellows but i dont have camera, i just used transparent yellow made for hobby cars. i bought it from walmart but they also sell it at hobby stores. takes only one bottle for both, and its only like 2 bucks

 

They are OEM CRX foglights. I traded an extra EF armrest i had for them.

 

i think the more coats you put on there,the darker they'll be
