Default welding valvecovers please help

For my b16 F/I setup I have to make additional vents into to frontside of my valve cover.
At first I wanted to drill a hole and cut a coil in that. But I thought the material is too thin and the fitting would leak.
So I thought about welding a little piece of aluminium on it so that the wall would be a little more thick. Thougt its better to make a tread into this.
What material should I take for this? A special kind of aluminium?

Thanks form Germany

Drill the cover with a bit that's the diamter of the fitting you want to put in. Slide it in flush with the inside and weld it inside. Nice, neat and plenty strong enough.

Thanks guys!
I don´t know why I didn´t get this ideas on my own. :-)
Think it was a long, hard working weekend for me.

Does the material I weld on need to be made from a special aluminium?

The problem with welding it on the inside is its covered up with the steel baffle.Where he needs to put the fitting. If you weld a fitting to it, it will have to be
A 12 or 14 an to be big enough. And that's a big *** fitting. What I do is pull the stock tube out .Then Drill out hole as big as you can with out going through the top of the cover. And weld a piece of allum. tubing like 1" .That way it still has a baffle
and it wont blow all the oil out.The valve cover has titanium dust in the allum. When they made it .That's why it welds like ****.Just keep going over it until it stops bubbling up.Allot of JAP allum. has Ti dust in it so you can't repair it.They want you to buy a new one

Thanks RMF. Do you have any pictures how you made it? It would be nice to see it before I start working.

Thanks
