Which one gets the best mileage
I'm looking to get a Honda CRX HF 88-91
I thought the eight valve HF was the best for fuel effeciency .
Now I'm hearing that the HF has a 12 valve and a 16 valve too
I'm hearing the carburated models are better for mileage but the fuel injected are better for emmisions I live in (California)
So which is best the eight valve or 12 or 16 for mileage
and which is best fuel injection or carburated for gas mileage

Don't worry, theyre not too hard to find. HF's should only have come with the 8 valves, but the other reason they get good milege is the tranny, its geared really long (can you say 80 mph in second gear?) however these engines have poor performance, so they are swapped out a lot
the hf only came with 8 valves. and yes the main reason for the gas mileage is the long gearing in the transmission. i believe when my brother had his before he did a swap he was getting 50+ mpg. i'm actually trying to buy one from this lady just so i can have a good gas mileage car, but still have my crx just for fun.
my car : 89 crx hf w/ b18 swap
