Default Where to buy materials?

I was reading around to what materials would be best for making an exhaust manifold. I read that one guy is using scl 10 304L forged stainless steel. Anyone else use anything different? Where to get it from? Thanks

OOo, good thread, does anyone have a decent priced source for shitty mild tubing to be used in "design" of manifolds, etc..

if you go by coefficient of thermal expansion at various temps, 316 is equal to or lower in every range than 302.304.321, im not sure on 347, but that would be a fortune anyways.

go 316L so you wont have to worry much about carbide precipitation, or if you wanna go cheap stainless, 304/304L with 321 filler.

http://www.chassisshop.com has a lot of tubing. ive had great experience with speedymetals for oddball, cut to length stuff. 1-888-744-4140 should still be their number.

Try http://www.woolfaircraft.com

They have great prices and good inventory of straight and bent tubing. They can also custom bend anything you want.
