well the shop got the l3 tranny in but now they want us to buy the axles and hub, which axles do i need to have it fit the tranny/and car i guess?? its a 91 hf with jdm dohc zc 1.6, tranny is l3 1020427 tranny. also can there be an easier way to have this done without changing the hubs? (My dad told me to ask that one)

You can try raxles, but I would strongly recommend changing the hub and then calling raxles. Alot of people use the 90-91 intergra of civic ex hubs. The integra hubs are a lot easier to find.

90-91 integra axles are what I used for my old zc.

Using the Hf hub is bad, because you won't have braking power in proportion to your ability to accelerate.

its a 89 zc and i think a 88 tranny, so the 90-91 axles wouldnt make a difference?

From your post, your using a jdm zc tranny (L3). This requires either axles from raxle or 90-91 teg axles.

Hey

I just got my HF ZC swapped well had it then the syncro in 3rd was going out so i got it warranteed.

Anyways...i think i got 90-91 integra axles put on it. I wouldn't skimp on the axles and hubs not only will you not have breaking power but with the extra torque 111lbs you have the possibilty of breaking the HF axles among other things

Axles on the ZC use an intermediate shaft and 2 equal length axles.
Si/Dx... use one short axle and one long axle (unequal length).

88~91 tranny cases are pretty much all labeled L3 so it's hard to tell what tranny you got.

The ZC L3 also has a larger diff in it. If you tried to plug an Si/DX/... axle into it, it would be too small.

HF's and STD's have different splines at the hub.
To use the Si/Dx/... or axles you use for swaps you need the Si/Dx/... hub.

Now, if you don't have a ZC tranny then it WILL accept Si/Dx/... axles into.
It will also accept your HF axles.
If that's the case, then just keep your HF axles and hubs.
No real need to upgrade.

well i got a zc l3, but the thing is everyone is saying a different story, tha shop saying the si will fit, summit dunno what to say, and here ya saying 90-91 teg axles/hubs.... i would go with here because that shop = no brains. so your all just saying i would just need to get the 90-91 teg axles.....i want this car working by next week so i just want to make sure. sorry for all the dumb questions

If you've got DX/Si Hubs and a DX/Si transmission use DX/Si axels.

If you've got a ZC Transmission you will need an intermediate shaft not sure on the hub situation.

If you have HF hubs you will need HF axels because they are a different spline count.
