Default How hot to tubular (sch. 40) manifolds get?

I'm mocking up a manifold right now and i'm cutting it close to my Fal/Flexalite fan.. i'm about .5" away..

I really like the way the manifold looks right now but i'm worried about melting the plastic on the fan... ?

They can get pretty damned hot, red hot if you run hard for extended periods. But radiant heat shouldn't melt your fan too easily.

I bet that kitty thought that glass would make a comfy couch till he sat in it sporks suck.
I had a video somewheres of my SRT4 manifold on the dyno. From about 3500-6k rpm the manifold was CHERRY RED, and stayed that way for a good 10-15 seconds afterward. If I didnt have heat-sheilding in-place, we wouldve burned Payn to the ground.
