To this date I have seen another set of these. they had light grey (almost white) bolsters, and headrest. are they rare or am I just sheltered?
I am an idiot. I traded them back in 2001 for a set of 94 prelude leathers...dont ask me why. I dont know. I was young needed the $ or something like that.
maybe it was because I wanted seats to match my floor mats

yeah best pics I have

lol why do you like those old stock seats ? why not swap them out for a pair of recaros' or something ? too each his own but i got rid of my old torn and funky smelling seats along time ago (me being the 2nd owner). hehe
IBrecovered
Maybe people hang on to them for any of these reasons:
-They bolt in
-they match the interior perfectly
-they are supportive without being obtrusive
-they are comfortable for long trips
-most people of have "race" style seats dont even need them, so why deal with the downsides

Recaro made the OEM seats and for a oem seat the 88-91 CRX has the best damn seats I have ever seen.

just got rid of some SRD's for some 90-91 Si seats and love em again.
The grey seats must be recovered.

I really like the stock Si seats in my CRX. I stayed with them because they belong in the car, not as flashy and they aren't obstructive when I need to reach behind me. They are very comfortable too with just the right amount of support.

id like to see some more info on this...I have always HEARD that Recaro made the seats for the 88-91 Civic/CRX Si's. But then again you havent heard from Recaro directly.

im almost sure they were not recovered...I agree they were loose but it was way to0 factory looking. i've seen recovered seats I really dont think these were.
why would I want these seats? ha. ask any real EDer...(EFer for people that think they know)I have a set of EF8 seats now...love them to death. some or the best seats ive sat in. imo recaros dont compare in a daily driver.

I hate this place and I hate all of you.
I found out where the seats ended up. they are in an old old Kia at the bottom of a hill in the middle of no-where. if I can get a better idea of where that is im going to go get them.

On another note, I called honda today to ask for a 1988 CRX Si Drivers side SEAT with tracks and everything needed to mount in the car:
me: "Yes, I need a price on a 1988 Honda CRX drivers seat."
Honda Parts Rep: "Ok, is that DX, HF, or Si?"
me: "Si"
Honda Parts Rep: "You want the mounting brackets too?"
me: "Yes, please."
Honda Parts Rep: "Ok, hang on"
me: *waits patiently*
Honda Parts Rep: "Ok, for the DRIVER'S SEAT and MOUNTING HARDWARE the total is going to be .......woah, that can't be right.....you sure you need the seat?"
me: "Yes, how much is it?"
Honda Parts Rep: "Well it says that the price for everything is $1500"
me: "Oh, ok"
Honda Parts Rep: "That doesn't include other caps and misc parts for the seat"
me: "Oh, alright. Thanks."
*click*
My #1 reason for "If I want to buy a new seat, should I go OEM or Aftermarket?" question.
AFTERMARKET!!!!!!!!!
Sparco Torino here I come. $700 less than a stock CRX Si Seat BRAND NEW. I don't want someone's broke in seat from 1988 with a worn side bolster.

Even if you were willing to pay $1500 most of the seat parts have been discontinued by Honda anyway. They no longer make the seat covers or foam. A competent upholestery shop can do a really good job repairing the OEM seats. Also you can buy leather covers from some places online. I'm going to have mine recovered in March. I'll post some picks then.....
