Clutch pedal clicking noise
Hey guys, i am having some kind of noise coming from the clutch pedal. Whenever i release the clutch pedal and the clutch is almost engaged, i hear this clicking noise. The noise comes twice though, once a lil before the clutch is almost engaged and once right when the clutch is completely engaged. It sounds as if the sound is coming from the pedal or somewhere near it and not from the transmission. The sound only happens though when my car is completely warm and when i have driven if for a while. The sound is also there if i press my clutch pedal in and out when my car is off. Anybody had this problem before? The sound is getting really annoying. I have a 00 gs-r if that helps. Thx
Is it like...hmm...a squeaky click? It might be in the engine bay on the right side, or in the passenger compartment on the driver's side? It can be just the return spring on the clutch pedal, or it can be the contact point of the clutch pushrod with it's master cylinder.
its kind of a weird click. u can also feel where it clicks, like i feel 2 specific spots where the clutch clicks. it kinda sounds like a ratchet click
Bumping up a 7 year old thread...I have the same issue... it is beyond annoying. i had my master/slave clutch cylinder replaced a few years ago, and it is making this noise. I still have the original clutch with 91k miles. Anyone have ideas? I will lube up the rod that goes from the clutch to the firewall.
