it's possible.. but lots of work...

start with I/H/E, aem ems, and 4.77 gears...... then start with internals... stroker kit, ported head, cams, ITB's......

who knows what can happen... if you want to do it.. you can do it...

i would scared to launch it do to the fact of the weak rear diff.

if i was to build a NA s2k i would go with

toda complete head
springs valves retainers CAMS rockers etc
toda bottom end also stroker kit etc
toda header
JIC single TI-Bullit
AEM standalone
blah blah

no and you won't find any..... there's to many varriables involved.... and when it comes to drag racing our s2000's.. a lot of it varries on wheel spin, and the drivers ability to shift properly..

i looked into the NA build on my s2k and first but the diff, gears and i/h/e and ems. This **** is going to cost atleast 15K in parts. This car is not made to drag. Weak clutch, weak diff, and long gears, not TQ, nothing under VTEC.

the rear diff is not the weak its all about how you launch also... I have over 500whp and my stock diff kicks ***.... I come out of the hole at 4500 rpm and 10psi of boost and 18psi all the way down the track and my diff is fine

His secret is he hasnt broken it yet. It will in a matter of time. I know people who have launched 100 times with no problems yet and I know people who launched once and boom. Eventually it will happen.

As for 12 sec N/A S. Not gonna happen. No one will ever make one.

i think an 12 sec N/A could happen.....

seen a 2.5L S run against a supercharged S.... and the 2.5L kept up the whole time..... (keep in mind this is with only a 2.5L stoker kit, vafc, intake, and exhaust...) imagin if he upgraded to an ems, got a good header system, and then maybe just maybe ITB's.... and a good set of tires it should be in the 12's easy..

ok we are talking logically here hahahahaha... i don't think anyone here wants/can afford to buy freeking $8000+ dry carbon door pannels to save some weight.... hehehe.... if thats the case.. just get a turbo and ems.. and you'll be faster..

My point was just that no one will ever do it so its not going to happen. Even though a 2.5 liter F20c kept up with a s/c S, a s/c S needs more boost than stock to do 12's. Besides te original post said street tires. I dont think its possible on street tires.

I'd bet he doesn't have to rev the **** out of it to get it off the line. Most of the diff faliures are probably due to shock on the drivetrain, not power.

S2k's don't make very much torque stock.....

You wanna run 12's? Is it really important to you to break into the 12's? Go buy yourself a used C5 vette and your right there with a good driver...i still dont understand why people are so obsessed with running 12's, its quick yes, but how are you going to justify the thousands you spend on your S2000 to make it go fast in a straight line? Bragging rights? Sheesh...i wouldnt feel to good if i bought an S2000, spent a ton of money on engine mods and then went out and got my *** busted by a stock Z06 or something...

I'll say till the day i die that the S2000 was never built to be a drag car, NEVER, not to say it cant be but in that, why? Buy it, enjoy it for what it was built for...if you want to go fast in a straight line, buy something with a V8 that can make 400ftlbs of torque easily.
