question !!! !!!
i bought a 98 usdm b18c1 motor tranny back in september, i bought it off a guy who bought a it at a salvage auction with a front clip, so it is a ligit motor, it was a theft recovery car i do beleive, the people looks like they grinded the block vin off of it, and the tranny vin plate was missing, the plate is still on the bottom of the block, but my question is, is there a way of contacting anyone who can restamp the number in the block if it is cleared up, cause like i siad it was bought at a salvage auction so it is ligit, i have been wanting to sell it for a cheaper price to try and get rid of it but wanted to make sure everything was cleared up, let me know if u know where to go for this type of stuff, thanx

If you have any paperwork to back up the history of your engine just make sure you have it handy for the new buyer. Otherwise, make a memo for the new buyer as to where and how you bought it and all the history that you know of the engine so they know you are honest about it. And if you have the vin number somewhere else you may want to have that handy and note that as well so people can look it up to see that it is a legit engine.
Good luck!
