Default BIG strut problem

yesterday i installed a pair of tokico blues and ground control coilovers in my front only. ran out of time. so the car was lowered and it was very bumpy and rough. this morning i raised it up to see if this could help out the situation. but theres was a huge problem. the driver side strut was sticking up about 3-4 inches from the strut tower. i then noticed a nice dent in my hood from when it was lowered before. my hood is dented and the paint is cracked on the outside. but the big problem is the strut sticking all the way up. any ideas on why this is happening, and how can i fix it?

(sigh) sad part is i assemebled the passenger side, the guy who usually knows more about suspension than i do did the driver side.

and yeah, i wont let him near my car again.

but whatever, the washer is gone and i cant drive it. im getting a different friend with a truck, renting a dolly and towing it up to the shop i usually go to. they said somethign about putting all of them on for $120.
