Cleaning the engine compartment & servicing
Bought a 1995 Honda Accord EX Coupe. Engine compartment needs cleaning. I was thinking on spraying it down with Gunk engine cleaner and then spraying it clean at a preasure cleaning place. Anything I should look out for? Water getting into?
Should also do a service. What should I be doing? don't have a service manual yet. Oll and Filter, Air filter? Dist. cap? rotor? etc.
Any help would be appreciated.

Any service records cme with the car? How many miles on it? If over 90K miles, definitely look at the timing belt - otherwise, just do anormal tune up.
If washing the engine bay yourself, make sure to cover the alternator, battery, and fuse box at least.
The best thing I did was take my Accord to have the engine bay steam cleaned.

I just bought the car from the original owner. A young single asian nurse that I am confident of her honesty. She had all the paperwork. Fully loaded 1995 Accord Ex Coupe, Leather seats, etc. Car has 194,000 miles, Engine swap in Jan 2003. She had it done professionally. Receipts totaled $2900.00. She was asking $3900.00. She accepted $3000.00. I did the footwork, my daughter bought it, I work on it.
Thanks for the reply.
