Higher Compression - Burning Oil
Just wondering if running a higher compression than stock would cause our motors to burn a little more oil? Never really noticed a problem with burning oil in my car before, but now (2,000 miles since my last oil change and raising the compression) my oil level was just slightly below the lower hole.
from the top hole to the lower is roughly one quart..
most cars can use up to a quart every 3000 miles (depending on how often you are on the big lobes)..
its good that you are keeping an eye on your oil level..my advice would be to keep an eye on it for now...
you could do a compression test to be safe..that would tell you if the rings are tired or not...
but...a low reading may not neccasarily mean worn rings..

All motors burn oil to a cerain extent.
Maybe it's not your motor. Maybe it's YOU. After that nice dyno session, maybe you're using a tad bit more gas around the turns and don't realize it.
Motors burn more oil when they are in VTEC most of the time. It's a fact of life.
I wouldn't worry about it, pal.
