Need some help.... car is wabbling like crazy
well I was out tonight taken a couple friends for a ride and i get on it had a good bit of torque steer and all of a sudden my car starts to wobble. It kinda felt like my tire was not on tight or maybe my lug nuts were loose but after checking them I know that is not the problem. So then i check the axel it seemed fine. The only other thing I can think if is a wheel bearing though i don't know what the symptoms of a bad wheel bearing is. CAn anyone help me out with this. any suggestions on what it could be.

It COULD be that your tire is starting to separate and is no longer round. Hopefully that's all it is.
Maybe you can get some better suggestions. Good luck.

U mean once it is in the air grab it and try and shake it? If so i did that it seemed fine, though when i took the wheel off and put it back on and manually turned the wheel it seemed like it was not turning right, looked like it was off center.

Whoa, was the wheel acting "not centered" on the hub, or was it just the tire not centered? Wheel bearings detonated?? Hmmm..

3 things
Car has been sitting? = Warped Axle (my hatch)
Vibration at High speed = Balance, weights, car not centered up on hub the right way, stupid people working on the car
Tire could have flatspots
Only other thing i could think is Ball joint issues, which could cause wabble, but not bumpiness

Thanks for all the replys fellas, I put it on a lift and drove the car and it seemed like the axel bent right at the knuckle which is what is making it wobble. hopefully I am right, so I'm going to fix that and see what happens. hopefully it did not bend inside the tranny though i doubt it since the the tranny is a hell of alot stronger than the end of the knucle. I'll post the verdit once i get it fixed.

its your inner joint on your axle ... the same thing happened to me.
i made a thread about it and got it fixed. dont buy a whole new axle if you can just get the inner join assembly.

i see you are pretty sure its the axle. but when i used to have my jeep, snow got in my springs and froze to solid ice and the car basically had no springs soo it shook like hell and wabbled at speeds over 35 mph. I had to hook a hose up to a sink that night and spray hot water on them to melt it.
They were fine after that lol

The first time this happened to my car all I did was replace the inner joint, it recently happened again this time i went ahead and replaced the whole axle.. so if it happens agian, then I know that there is another BAD part causing the axel to fail.
