got A FIRST GEN crx need sum imput
im looking for things i can use for the interior for my car. i bought this tub for 200 bucks and it needs all the interior minus the seats and dash. does anyone know what models and years of hondas can i use or do i have to stick with the first gen crx's
You may have a hard time locating cosmetic things for your CRX, apart from things like the wheels. I say just save up and get another CRX, an '88 or something. Or maybe try to get at least a new engine into that beast. There are probably 50x more things available for an ED9 than yours.
Good luck with your CRX

i bet for 200 bucks that car is crap. sell it for 300-500 to some kid and make a quick buck or two. then get a 91 crx. trust me you dont really want those old cars even with low miles time takes its toll plus first gen to me is butt ugly

I like the 1st gens too, but the only advantage they have is that they weigh slightly less than the 88+ HF, and they are totally cheap to buy. Otherwise there is no reason to say they are better than the 2nd gen. They (1st and 2nd gens) are both great cars in their own different ways.

Why all the 1g hate. I loved my old 87 Si CRX, I miss her all the time, wipes tear from eye. 1gs are lighter, faster and more manuverable, just like the migs you'll fighting against.(Sorry I had to throw the Top Gun quote in there.)
Last time i checked first gens were:
1. A hell of a lot lighter than any 2nd gen.
2. Assuming a 1g Si and 2g Si are both stock, the 1g is faster.
3. What's that? Kick *** CSP car??
Dont get me wrong, i love 2g's too but dont knock the 1g's.
Dont give up, the aftermarket is out there, it's just not as big as the 2g's.
Try OPM autosports, lightspeed racing, summit racing, suspension techniques, ebay, redpepperracing.com, and eibach and you should have everything you need but intake and exhaust.
Do your own exhaust, it's cheaper and you'll like it better. An EG civic intake installed backwards fits. You can only take interior parts out of other 1g's.
Also, you should do a VERY thourough check for rust.
enjoy,
Jacques

suspension is cheap too. Wagon torsion bars, chopped 'teg springs, teg front swaybar & rear axle was always my plan for my 85 Si.
plug: hit me up if you need parts, i still have a bunch of 1G stuff around here.
