quick tranny question.
hey guys, im wondering if the accord manual tranny will fit in my lude. Since its really hard to find manual tranny from preludes at the junkyards..im just wondering if the accord would fit.
When I converted my 99 prelude auto into stick, I was planning to put an 90 accord tranny in since I got it free from my friend but I did not do it. I bought a 94 tranny I think to use. I don't think it worth the time and money if you pay somebody do it. Gear ratio is not as good as prelude's.

they suck depending on what you want. if you're looking for top speed and a good tranny for turbo, as well as something that will get you better than 25MPG on the highway, then the F series tranny is better.

yes all the same bolt pattern and i think even the same dowel pin locations
the only problem is you might have to grind the little alighnment hanger on the top part of the motor right under the top two mounting bolts..
i know its hard to understand what i mean , but depending on what year prelude/accord combo you use that little pin can keep the tranny from sitting flush
for example in my sig i have my f22h22 hybrid that i mounted my h22 head to an f22 block and then used my h22 tranny. because the f22b2 i used was from a 96 i belive its alightment pin that you can basically hang the tranny on had to be removed from the block for my m2f4 tranny to sit flush, all the dowel pins were the same btw

You are damn right on this one. The prelude gear ratio is all good til your cruising on the freeway going 80 while at 4 grand. Now that sucks.
