i found a blown y8 motor, it has 0 compression in one cylinder and i need a new tranny. the dude is asking $50 and if i can use the tranny ill pick it up.

 

tranny has nothing to do with a blown motor

 

how would u know u didnt even know u were a member, u thought u were a trial user j/k but not really

 

the transmission is fine... the motor could have been blow by down shifting to hard or overreving the engine... All these just put wear on your motor no damage to you transmission. It should be fine unless the guy didn't change his transmission fluid, was a careless driver (might be some grinds) or just was stupid about shifting. You might want to take some other things like clutch, valve cover, pulleys, and other small things that might come in handy down the road. g'luck
