Default Inquiry for those who bought the 4300K Philips kit from Visualdynamics

Am I the only one who is having continuous problems with their kit? My low beams started acting funny after probably a year and a half after I got them. I've rewired them a few times but after a while they start acting up. I'm sure my wiring is good. Just wanted to know if I was the only one. Ohh, and does anyone know where I can get the connector that plugs into the ballast (the connector I'm referring to is on the opposite end of the 9006 adapter. TIA!

Would you be so kinda as to clarify what "actin up" means?
IMHO I think all aftermarket kits have a tendency to be unreliable. Either the relays have problems, or if you have a poorly rebased bulbs they go bad... just a headache in general. Believe me it is well worth it, but definately a PIDA.

One of the lights wouldn't turn on sometimes. Or it would go out while I'm driving.

2.5 years and no problems here.

Maybe check the ground wires from the ballasts?

I don't have the same kit but that happened to me a few weeks after I had them put on. The problem seems to have fixed itself. Weird.

I guess I'm just gonna re-wire AGAIN! hehe! I found that connector I was looking for. I'm gonna change that out because I just soldered the 9006 adapter last week. It seems to only happen to the low beams, my HID 9005's (also bought from Trevor) havent gone bad at all, and I use them all the time.

There should be 2 ground wires (one for each ballast). If the do not a a good connection, it will cause problems.

This kit uses the stock 9006 connector which a 9006 adapter is plugged into that. Then that harness leads to the ballast, then from the ballast is just on really thick wire which the D2S bulb is attached. There arent any extra ground wires on the ballast, I guess everything is grounded through the stock headlight harness.

I've had this issue before, all it was was the harness; one of the soldered connections had come loose from the plug.

I dunno, I haven't look at the wireing for some time, but I am positive that there are 2 ground wires, just as there are 2 positive wires that connect to the battery...maybe they are part of the wiring harness.

I had a problem with one of the grounds after I got the front end of my car repaired at a body shop. Fixed the ground and everythng is fine again.
