Default gt32+d16z6 good match or what??

im looking to get about 300-350whp at 16ish psi on pump gas with a decent powerband with plenty of midrange. i was going to use an sc34 with a .63 but it seems like it would take forever to spool so im selling it. judging by this comp map would it be a good choice for my d16 and goals? what will the spool characteristics be like on this motor? any input will be appreciated!
btw: does this turbo calc. do the math correctly? http://www.mrapg.net/hondatech/turbocalc-v1.xls right click save as

300-350whp is alot for a D series engine, do you have any internal mods to this or no?

I dont think you should set goals for say 300-350whp @ a certain PSI. It will take quite the turbo to make 350whp on a D series @ 16psi.

Instead find the turbo that is capable of what you want to accomplish and see how much boost you need to achieve your power goals while tuning.

I have a turbo that I consider too big on my D series (SC32, .63) and only made about 255whp @ 1 bar. But at 1.2 bar I made about 290whp (obviously the turbo is more efficient at the higher boost levels.

Smaller turbo and more boost is the way to go. Id say a .48 50 trim would be badass and inexpensive.

i looked at the disco potato but its out of my price range. the gt30 is capable of more power (room to grow) and is cheaper because it not bb, but it still retains the gt technology.

Really that's not alot for a D series.

to plot out your map, i need to know your plan, which displacement you will be using and how high you plan on revving. from there i can establish an approximate air flow number (in lbs of air)
so fill in the blanks and ill hit u back

this graph assumes the following
98cubic inch (1.611L)
7200rpm
85% top end effiency (stock intake/head)
boost at 7psi/15psi/22psi

heres the link if the pic dont work

I think it is, How many people do you actually see running more than 300whp in a street setup? (Dont list boosted ED9, because he was at full timing advance and only using an AFC)

I've done what I consider a ****-load of work on my car and it feels like I should have gone B series. Hell there are stock LS's making more than me (I made 286whp @ 17.5 psi on an SC32) But my tuner feels that even at that level I am pushing it.

Just looking for some good discussion

at 15 psi, at redline

dont you think it would be nice to may be have it spool a little faster... and maybe have the turbo in that center island a little longer, and fall out of it as your shifting?

bah, that would be silly

get a bigger turbo...
