Default SCREWED

UPDATED @ BOTTOM & QUESTIONS

So today a guy in a 4 Runner cuts me off, soon after swirvs to allow me to go into the rear of a stopped Ford Escape on the Northern VA toll road.........$^(#@&$#^.......anyway though, need a new hood, bumper, headlights, radiator for sure.

My thoughts.........anyway to get insurance company to put $ for a new hood towards a cf one and I pay the difference if need be and what about the radiator, should I upgrade if I can get the insurance company to cover it? $500 deducatable spent because some $%&(*$%& can't $%&$(*% drive.

threre most likely going to give you a pay out.and you can fix it how ever you like.keep in ind if you did not notify them about the previous mods then they will only give you the $$$ for the cost of oem parts.

I've got full coverage with State Farm...........I've already had the car toed to one of their shops which is supposed to be a really good shop so I'm told (Falls Chuch Autobody). I'm going to talk with them Monday and also see about having the whole car repainted but I think thats gonna be a bit expensive and not happen. Also I don't believe I ever have $ in hand so to speak from my insurance company. The shops fixes it and they pay it.......like i said, more talking Monday and looks like a Nissan Sentra for a rental.....so much for the Corvette ) (or like what they wanted to give me, a Gay-on/Neon or Escort, I said no of course)

State Farm does not usually pay out plus they are a pain in the @$$ when it comes to repairs claims. Just work with the body shop you sent your car to and see if they can obtain the parts you desire at a cost equal to or less than OEM with paint work. Im sure State Farm would love to pay less. If your military you should switch to USAA so you dont get hassled as much plus it is cheaper per month with them. Even Geico is better.

Geico wanted more than $400 more a year than what I pay now with State Farm. I've got their best coverage and can't find anybody cheaper even after cutting a few things............also with my parents we've been with them for more than 30yrs so I guess that gets us a break and we know the agent............wish me luck (me = almost 21 with NOTHING on my record so with that and turning 21yrs I don't have to worry about my insurance go'n up)...............wish me luck!

I'm gonna try to repair it myself.......hood, bumper, lights easy.....radiator/ac may be a task but if no frame damage or anything beyond the above, i'm gonna do and enjoy the insurance check for other parts.......just waiting for the estimate hopefully tomorrow but everything rests on what I see when after I peel off the hood.

N.VA people, DO NOT call Al's Towing, $275 to flatbed my little Civic from Reston to Falls Church!!! Argued it to $175 but now insurance is picking it up so I don't care but just boycot Al's. Thats highway robbery.

Well I think you should upgrade if you're going to be auto x ing this season. Maybe get a dual core one so you can still keep your ac.

O ya, post pics.

$30 seems pretty low. I haven't checked around lately but I think if you get an OEM used one it's about $75 Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
