Cost to paint fender in San Diego
My drivers side fender is all messed up and i can't just do a no paint dent removal. I was thinking of purchasing a 93 prelude fender that is ready to be painted. I called around a few shops for quotes on a fender paint job and i got 150 to 300! Is there anyone who has done the same? How much did you guys pay for painting the fender? As the title states, i'm in san diego so if anyone knows a place with a reasonable price thatwould be awesome too.
It depends on both... AND whether you are in the mood to have it done RIGHT. Different color paints cost more, and are more difficult - and take more time - to apply (the difference between laying a solid red color as opposed to laying a three-stage metalic with pearl)
Just painting the fender might more than likely culminate into it being slightly different hue of the color of the car. Therefore, painting the fender and having it blended in to the door/hood/fender will ALSO cost a bit more.
It's all in what you want out of it, and how much you are willing to spend. The last fender that I had painted was Electron Blue Metalic Pearl (B95-P) and he blended the bumper and hood for $500. It was also pretty much a flawless job, so I'm comfortable spending that kind of money for it...

the quality it is mainly determined by the prep work and spraying, if it is a three stage color(milano red for one example) it would take a great deal more time, money, and skill to match the correct color of the car. In addition to the extra effort the actual paint itself cost a great deal more than just a single stage color

haha word, find a dictionary. THe paint on my car is silver. i'm not sure what the shade of silver it is but its factory. I'm not looking to spend alot of money on the fender because its just a beater car. if anyone has a spare fender with the factory silver paint that would be awesome.
