I am trying to buy a prelude from a nissan dealer in NY. I checked the VIN on carfax but it doesn't show any record. It only shows that the car is in the dealer's inventory. It doesn't even say what kind of car it is, usually it will say the year/make/model of the car. What could this be? Should I be worried?

I would be worried.

 

i would make sure you wrote down the right vin #, i did that once, and it made me flip out.

 

as 95greenlude said...make sure you have the right vin...and go ask the dealership about it, or if anything just don't buy it

 

the VIN# was wrong. somebody typed in an S instead of a 5. could someone run this VIN for me: JHMBB61551C001336. and email it to fpmst@yahoo.com

go into the GDD forum and then find the numberious carfax threads and post that vin up.
