JDMhondaparts.com......
Has anybody used this company to purchase a motor, specifically a H22a? I am starting to shop around for one and would like to use the most reliable company possible. Their price for a complete swap (all hardware+tranny) is $2400 and $5000 for a H22a Type S (all hardware+tranny+LSD). Do these prices sound correct? Is it really worth the extra $2600 to opt for the Type S engine or will the standard engine prove to be a strong start for a naturally aspirated buildup? Any knowledgable and experienced answers will be greatly appreciated.
For the extra $2600 you can build the H22a to be more powerful than the type S. I've heard that JDMhondaparts.com has good prices, is reliable, but doesn't have the best customer service. I'm not sure what shipping would be, but I know that you can get an H22A from Xtreme accesories for $3165 for everything, tax, shipping, etc. I know for a fact that Xtreme is a good place.
Hi i can give you a complete JDM H22a changeover for $2900 shipped.

What is Xtreme accesories' web address or phone number? Where are they located? How do you know that they are a good place... have you delt with them yourself? If so, could you possibly let me know your experience with them? Thanks very much in advance.

Xtreme accesories is in Green Bay, WI. Their phone number is (920) 965-5550. The owner is Darren. He's a good guy and always tried to make everyone happy. I usually end up talking to Justin when I order parts and he usually has the prices by the next day. And finaly there's Brandon, who does most of their installations. He's cool as hell and is part of High Destination CC. They're the guys that I race with and they're nice enough to bring my prelude and some of their cars down to Madison when I'm at school. that way I get to race and not go nuts.
To Prospeed:
To tell you the truth, I have never actually heard of this company before so it sound sketchy to me. If there is anybody on this board that is reading this message that can vouch for Prospeed please do. Your pricing is competitive with JDMhondaparts.com, but without a known reputation it is a difficult decision.
