because im about to do that with this wrecked 91 crx si that i got for free for installing motor.

I did it to a buddys civic, the only part that will need any creativity is were the center council mounts to the floor.

is the dash wiring the same on my 89 hf crx as in a 91 crx hf? if not can someone show me how to repin it?

no its not the same, just pull the harness off of the civic dash and attach it to the inside of the crx dash. easier than repinning. plus the 90-91's have a relay for the cigarette lighter, so just stick with whatever harness yours came with
