changing clutch on b16 rex
I'm getting ready to install an exedy stage 1 clutch in my b16 crx. Obviously the engine bay is really crowded. Does anyone know if I can change clutches without having to take the whole motor out? Has anyone done it? Any advice would really help.
you can do it in the car take the tranny mounts off of course and take the back engine mount off and you can drop the motor at a angle some and get the tranny to slide out. good luck
the back mount never has to come off just release the bolts off the bracket if you don't drop the front support the tranny will never fall. it should only take you about 4 hours the most to do the job.
*note: make sure you change out throw out bearing and tranny seals while the tranny is off
