Default Time for New Speakers - Need your help. (2004 Civic Coupe Lx)

My stock speakers are sounding like ****, I think they are over used and can not handle the mass amount of power the Alpine 9835 puts out .

Does anyone know what the sizes are of the speakers in a 2004 Civic Lx coupe is? What type of speakers would u recommend me getting? I got a 600 watt - 4 Channels ready to be used.

Thanks guys.

i have infinity perfects. they are the BOMB for their price on ebay (200). i hear their lower models are still very decent. unless you wanna dish out some more cash and go way up there with competition brands like diamond focal and such. i never heard any of them in person though, just read about how people want to get their hands on them. but i love my perfects.

dont get on the staging bandwagon...
Listen for yourself then decide

if your fronts are very powerful, you may not want rear, but I for one, couldnt stand not having some sort of high quality rear fill, people say on here too often, leave oem rear and get high end fronts... well I have rears that beat the crap out of my fronts, but the fronts go louder than I need, so I just turn the fade to front, then I have nice rears that sound great and do whatever is asked of them frequency wise (I also have a sub... which is the only reason I faded to front, otherwise I would need the sound of my high powered 6x9s...)

Doing this myself now to my 98. To be honest I don't know what quality speakers Honda put in the car but they sound almost good enough as-is. I get pretty darn good bass out of the 6x9 rears and the 6.5's don't sound too bad either although the highs aren't as crisp as I like them. My other vehicles have had amp/subs/components but I am going a different route this time since like I said the Honda stuff alone now is close to my S-10 with all the goodies. I have a 800 watt 4-channel amp so I just bought a set of DLS 7x10's to go in the rear for some more boom for $170.00, a set of component CDT-HD62Z's 6.5's for the front for $400.00 and I am done. Feeding all four channels 100-122 watts RMS it should thunder pretty good!

are you sure you have that kind of RMS power? I thought you only had a 800Watt 4 channel amp... I am confused, what are you running? I like that ratio of RMS to peak..
