Symtoms of bad outer tie rod

Does anyone know what are the symtoms of a bad outer tie rod?

Any type of shake or vibration could be culprit, but also could be attributed to wheel bearing, cv joint, etc...

Hard to steer, pulling to the side, and following grooves and ruts in the road.
