Default leaking under dash

i have a 91 crx and its leaking somewhere underneath my dash where the ecu is. it was freakin raining like crazy over here in San Diego. and now my car smells like a wet dog. just wondering if any one has dealt with this area where its leaking. could it be my hood? after i did my gsr swap i used the oem hood without having to cut anything, could this be the problem? it seems to be closing smoothly. any info is greatly appreciated.

Eddie

Believe it or not, the hood is not the last line of defence in keeping water out of the car. A lot of older hondas have this problem. My friend just fixed (we hope) his integra by resealing the clip holes for the cowl cover at the base of the windshield. Others have had luck resealing the fresh air intake under the cowl cover. I've heard of a couple people resealing the windshield and taking care of the problem.

I think I am in the same boat. I have not driven my crx in a month cause I could not find the culpret. Now I have a inch deep puddle of water in my drivers side floor board and mold everyware. I think I am going to have to pull the carpet.

No pun intended?

I have all this **** too, as well as The Hatch Leak. Another friend just resealed the body seams on the top of his CRX, but seeing as it hasn't really rained here for over a week, we haven't been able to try it yet.

My dx does the same thing in heavy rain. A garage is a great fix for the problem.. But you live in SD so those dont come cheap.....

mildew smell cultivating under carpet.....So i pulled it back and found nothing growing so i was happy......blow dryer again and air freshner and i'm back in business.
i think the windshield is allowing the water to pass through the seal and down through the defrost vents....
