Prelude 1997-2001. What is the best shock combination to go with Eibach Prokit?
I just purchased some Eibach Prokit springs for my 97' Honda Prelude. However, there are a range of shocks out there in market, ranging from Tokico, KYB, and Koni. Adjustable shocks seem to be the better choice at hand. However, when I read in Honda-tech forum about the gas adjustables, people often adjust the shocks close to or to the shock's maximum setting. If this is the case, then would it be more wise to just buy a one setting High Performance shock to reduce on cost? I would like to hear anyone's opinion to help suggest me to the right direction. Thank you.
well i got KYB AGX's, and i like them being adjustable: i put em on soft for daily driving, and hard for track days. However on soft they are underpowered compared to the strong Eibachs, and the car tends to rebound.. not a big no-no for daily commute and city driving anyway. All in all IMHO it's a very good combo, price wise (AGX's are dirt cheap)
just spend 500 bones and get the koni yellows.
i have the pro kit and yellows and its the best handling i could of asked for.
worth every penny.
