think clutch cable is caught one something?
So i get in my car one day and my clutch pedal is catching way way sooner then its supposed to. i had it set to about mid point. now as soon as i let go it catches. i checked teh cable in the engine bay seems ok. i have a problem with rpms slowly going down so wheni shift it jolts the car a lil bit. i adjusted the cable so that it should let go way at the top but no go wouldnt even catch at all. and when i adjust the pedal so it catches near teh top the pedal itself shouldnt have any play sideways at all but it still does. its like it just hangs there....so confused....to make matters worst i think im starting to burn oil...stupid blue smoke...with straight through cat
stinks

Check the pedal assembly. There is a welded bar that holds the clutch pedal straight. Mine was cracked and I was having similar issues and couldn't locate the problem. It finally broke on me so I replaced the bar with a bolt and nut and some lockwashers.
