i picked up a 91 crx dx and it was a non runner.the guy i got it from sed something about it was smoking and stoped runing so i thought maybe head gasket.so i changed that put it all back to gether and still wont start not throughing any codes there is gas
all in the intake plenam,and its geting spark any ideas?

 

Cam/crank timing is correct?

Check distributor out - "maybe" the rotor screw backed out and it's just firing at the wrong time now.

Check grounds too.


Other than that, seems like you have lots of trouble shooting to deal with.

Agreed here to. Trying to find a problem like on a car you know nothing about may be quite difficult.

Now you said the guy told you it was smoking. Well, then you need to ask, if it stopped working after it smoked? What color was the smoke?
