ARP carbon fiber mirrors, usability?
How functional are these? Is there enough viewable area to acutally be useful?
?
p.s. they are available from modcar for $230, kinda pricey but they look great imo

I'm considering those right now as well, just too lazy to go get them lol. From what I had read in a previous thread was they're a little hard to see out of, but you get used to it.

Damn are they that bad? I didn't think they would be that bad lol.
Maybe I'll quit considering them.

They are that bad. I have a friend with an SI that has them, and they have WAY less viewing area than the Spoon mirrors, which are already unbearable to me.

I have Spoon mirrors, old school though (plastic). They are about as bad as I'd like for them to be as far as visibility. Would you say using the JDM CTR mirrors with their opposite glass would be worse or better than the APR? I don't mean to thread jack here guys, just need info.

I have the robbearracing CTR knockoffs and they're GREAT. The class is correct for LHD applications and I wouldn't trade them for the real deal to save my life.

i have the vision type mc's..and the viewing angle is perfect for me....on BOTH SIDES...i dunno the combination of me being short and how i sit in the car was to my favor i guess....my friend had the spoon f1 mirrors which were very similar to the ones you got there *apr*...and they were fine..no viewing problems etc....
good luck with your guys's shopping.
i didn't like them that much i couldn't see **** out of those i would rather get spoon replicas which are cheaper and i can still see out of it.
the mirrors are convex on them no?
if they are they wont pass inspections.
i have ebay knock off spoon mirrors and both sides are convex i failed inspections for that but compared to stock mirror you can see so much more. i can see cars right next to me in the mirrors pretty cool only downside is the images are not actual images they are closer then they appear in the mirror

I believe these are intended for track cars, as a weight to reduce weight and aerodynamic drag at the expense of some functionality. This trade-off is obviously (or at least I thought it was obvious) not very desirable on a street car.
