Racing Seat ????
I was wondering what is a good racing seat i want one just for when i start doing the HPDE class. i want a strong, comfortable, lightweight, cheap, and easy to install seat. i need it with compatable for a six point harness. this seat will be only for the tracks so nothing too extravagant. i have seen those crapy looking aluminum seats (which look very uncomfortable) and was thinking of getting one like that and put some pads on it for my @ss, but is it just bolt on or will i have to some custom work. thanks in advance

I have the Rally Sport seat in my miata right now, and it's pretty darn comfy for being a piece of aluminum with some cloth and a little bit of padding. It's compatible with a 5pt harness, but IMO, 5 is enough. I don't know how it would be over any long distance, but around town, it's nice. It took a little bit of custom fabbing to get it to mount, but it wasn't too bad. Just took the stock seats off of their rails, welded two 1" steel cross pieces onto the rails, then drilled through the seat, into the cross pieces, and bolted it all together. It works really well.

I got mine for 350ish using the seat distributor's drill, tools, and welder. It's easy to fab up the brackets and get the right placement for the seat. If you go and weld them to the rails, they're pretty easy to take out and put into the car. If you mean easy to get into and out of, you'll get used to it
If you really want some nice seats, you should def. consider Recaros. I would go with the Recaros SPG. Heres a link to where you can get them http://autosportmotoring.safes...m?842
Heres a link to a guy who has them in his Type R,
