How to clean up the engine bay???
I would like to know how some of you guys cleaned up your engine bays hidding all the wires and vac hoes's???? detailed pics would be nice
TIA Rob
TIA Rob
the first thing i did was take the heater lines and ac all out along with the dash. then we took the fuse box and put it insde the car under the dash where the heater core was. all the bolts and nuts are getting powdercoated black. the headlight wires are running uder the wheel well. some wires had to be extended. in the pictures there are all the wires that need to be connected already in the engine bay. and before the motor goes back in the engine bay will be painted.

you can use GUNK engine cleaner or engine brite to clean it up...that will get rid of the grease..
then go to a hardware sstore and get those wire things taht wrap your factory harness and enclose your wires with that

Is this the new H-T trend
time to ***** these out some more. I have been getting pms non stop for the last year.
Sorry I cant get any better pics right now since the car is in another state(school)
Fuse box inside car above ecu
newer TB with built in map
all emission crap gone
headlight wiring under car and comes out under headlights
catch can right nex to rad on crossmember
resistor box bolted under intake manifold
any bracket or extra anything gone.
the only vaccume line I have is the FPR
painted back of headlights black
I still need to install a inline fuel filter to clean up even more.
If I forgot anything or you have a question ask.

I just like the practicality of it. Seems like it would be super easy to attach/detach engines. (then again, it's like that stock)

Its super nice, the motor can be out in 30 minutes by myself.

Don't think that I'm following behind you Kid-Honda. I guess we have the same intrests in mind. But you bay is mad crazy clean. Did that guy ever post a picture of his bay from that other thread. And yes this is the new h-t trend. I like it better than the rota trend though.
That's a damn shame. O well I'm going to scroll up now and droll over your bay and try and think of ways to clean mine up. I know it won't be that clean because it's going to get cold here in pittsburgh, but I'll do what I can till then.

Wow do you guys even read posts? He was talking about visually cleaning up the engine bay, i.e. less clutter, not physically cleaning it.
BTW if you guys want to really clean it up more. Buy an AEBS intake manifold. I just got one, all of the vac. lines exit out the back.
Now we just need to get rid of the clutch and speedo cables.
then go to a hardware sstore and get those wire things taht wrap your factory harness and enclose your wires with that
