brake light light on cluster on.... causes?

brake light light on cluster on.... causes? Allready checked fluid levels..fine...

what other sources could cause the light to go on?

make sure your e-brake isnt up one click and check if the wire is shorted. it isnt common, but it is possible.

if you cannot figure it out the easiest thing to do would be to remove to bulb in the cluster.

which is illegal and doesnt fix anything.

there is a sensor in the cap of the master cylinder. if you unplug the cap, then your light should go off. if that works, then your master cylinder cap is bad.
